ArmourGuard® RTU, is a new category in biosecurity that offers continual antimicrobial activity for up to 90 days. The antimicrobial agent, quaternary ammonium silicone, in an aqueous solution gives ArmourGuard® RTU the ability to coat and adhere to surfaces. EPA approved, ArmourGuard® RTU imparts a durable antimicrobial coating that provides a lasting protective barrier when applied. When quaternary ammonium salts react with silanes, they form an integrated complex that forms an invisible and durable (polymerized) antimicrobial coating that acts as a barrier. After application of ArmourGuard® RTU and letting dry, additional disinfectants can also be used routinely.
