KILLED EQUINE HERPESVIRUS TYPE 1 VACCINE
Pneumabort K®+1b has been shown to be effective in healthy horses 9 months of age or older to help protect against respiratory disease caused by EHV-1p and EHV-1b and for use in pregnant mares to help prevent abortion due to EHV-1 infections.
In the fifth, seventh and ninth months of gestation, mares need a vaccine labeled to help protect against abortion caused by EHV-1. In fact, pregnant mares have more than four times greater risk of abortion due to EHV-1 when not vaccinated.1-4
