Returns
Rood and Riddle Veterinary Pharmacy wants every client to be satisfied with their purchase. You may return eligible items within 21 days of the order date. No refund will be issued after the 21-days.
The Following Items May Not Be Returned:
- Prescription medications of any kind (including compounds)
- Cold items
- Opened boxes of needles and/or syringes
- Special order items of any kind
- Drop shipped items
Prescription Medications & Compounds
By law, once a prescription has left the pharmacy, it may not be returned for resale in whole or in part. This ensures product integrity and patient safety.
Compounded medications are custom-made for each patient; they can not be returned unless there is an error or defect.
If We Make an Error
If we made an error while filling your prescription, we will refund your costs. A prescription error may include any preventable event that may cause or lead to inappropriate medication use or patient harm (e.g. wrong drug, wrong dose, incorrect directions).
We Are Not Responsible For
- Errors made by the prescribing veterinarian or veterinary staff when ordering your prescription.
- Failure to retrieve delivered packages in a timely manner.
- Dissatisfaction due to the selected flavor, side effects, or lack of efficacy.
- Errors were made by the client when requesting refills.
Cold Items
- We are unable to verify that temperaturesensitive items were stored properly once delivered, so refunds or credits cannot be issued for returned cold items.
Refused Delivery
- Refused Delivery: If a prescription or cold order is refused at delivery, the medication will likely be destroyed. Refunds or credits are not generally issued for prescription shipments.
No Longer Needed
- If the medication or other item is no longer needed, we suggest contacting your veterinarian for guidance.
As a veterinarian, we invite you visit the secure "veterinarian only" area of our site. There you will have access to educational information, ability to view available, most frequently prescribed medications and conveniently place prescriptions. Since this is a secure area, we initially require the completion of a short registration form to verify your current veterinary licensure. Once this information has been received and verified, you will only need your username and password to login to your account. |
Animal Owner/Client Orders
As an animal owner, you are able to request your prescription order online by using our website. However, to have the order filled, your veterinarian will need to first verify its authenticity and proceed with initiating a prescription. The prescription form below can also be utilized by your veterinarian.
