Clarithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic that works on a variety of gram-positive, gram-negative, and atypical bacteria. In cats and ferrets, it can be used for infections caused by atypical mycobacterium and Helicobacter spp. In foals, it can be used for Rhodococcus Equi infections.
