Misoprostol is a prostaglandin E1 analog used to help with anorexia, vomiting, and gastro-duodenal ulceration (specifically when caused or aggravated by NSAIDs).
Additionally, Misoprostol has effects on cervical softening and opening as well as uterine contractility and can be used as an adjunct agent for pregnancy termination.
