Clarithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic which works on a variety of gram positive, gram negative and atypical bacteria. Rifampin is a medication that has antimicrobial, antifungal and antiviral activity. In foals, it is commonly prescribed for Rhodococcus equi infections.

This compounded formulation contains Clarithromycin 75mg and Rifampin 50mg per mL.
