Guaifenesin is a guaiacol derivative for intravenous use as a skeletal muscle relaxant for horses.
The propanediol derivatives are central-acting skeletal muscle relaxants that selectively depress transmission of nerve impulses at the internuncial neurons of the spinal cord, brainstem, and subcortical regions of the brain.
