Rifampin is an antimicrobial agent. It may be prescribed for Rhodococcus Equi and Lawsonia intracellularis proliferative enteropathy in foals. In dogs, it can be used for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus pseudintermedius pyoderma and Ehrlichia canis.
